HOFer Bill Walton, named one of the NBA's top 50 players of all time, was a devotee of the Grateful Dead, ate granola and wore huarache sandals. His accolades include - 3 consecutive National College Player of the Year (UCLA) while leading them to 2 National Championships, 2x NBA Champ, 1977 NBA FInals MVP, 1978 NBA MVP, 1986 Sixth Man of the Year and an Emmy Award winner. On the front left tail is the Russell Athletic size “46” manufacturer’s label with wash instructions. In the back of the neck is the Russell Athletic size “XXL” label. Rubberized across the front of the jersey is "San Diego". Below that and on the back is the player number “32” . Across the back is the player name "WALTON". All lettering and numbering is screened on. This jersey features an atypical style of construction and may be a one-off set. We have a 1979-80 Brian Taylor #14 jersey in our database that matches the construction, tagging and other characteristics shown in this Walton jersey. It may be the case that this was one of the first runs of jerseys ordered by the clippers from Russell, which may account for the differences. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by an additional LOP which includes the Team Employee’s badge that goes with the letter.
