In 1972, Yogi Berra was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame. A true winner as a player, manager and coach, Berra was on 13 World Series teams, has his No. 8 retired by the most popular franchise in the sport’s history and was named to the MLB All-Century Team. On the front left tail is a “Wilson” size “44” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. Inside on the rear collar fold is a strip tag with, “Berra 81 2” embroidered on it in navy blue chain-stitching. Across the chest reads, “NEW YORK” and the coach’s number “8” appears on the back. All numbering and lettering are done in navy blue on white tackle twill sewn directly onto the grey jersey. On the left sleeve is a black armband in memory of Elston Howard. Inside on the waistline adjacent from the button path is a “Wilson” size “38” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. Adjacent is a strip tag with, “Berra 81 2 23” embroidered on it in navy blue chain-stitching. This uniform is properly tagged, was presented to us as coaches-worn and in our opinion shows appropriate wear.
