This brass trophy stands 14.5” tall and weighs 7.8 pounds. It was presented to 2013 Hall of Fame Inductee Bernard King after he was named the MVP of the 1983-84 NBA season. King averaged 26.3 points per game that year and earned the nickname "The Texas Massacre" for his back to back 50-point games versus San Antonio and then Dallas, a feat which had not been accomplished in 20 years. The trophy features a female figure holding a child in the air surrounded by rings representing the lines of a basketball. Attached to the rings are brass letters that read “NBA PLAYERS”. Attached to the black wooden base is a plaque that reads “The Camel Trophy - MOST VALUABLE PLAYER - 1983-84 - Bernard King - National Basketball Players Association” along with the NBPA logo. The trophy is in NRMT condition. Accompanied by a copy of a LOA from Bernard King.

NBA legend Bernard King will be inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2013! Lots 18 - 26 presented in this catalog originated from his personal collection and will come with a hand signed letter from Hall of Famer Bernard King as well as a Naismith Memorabilia Basketball Hall of Fame letter of authenticity.
