After a stand-out career at the University of North Carolina, HOFer, Michael Jordan joined the NBA's Chicago Bulls in 1984 and averaged 28.2 points per game as a rookie, earning him ROY honors. Air-Jordan did not look back. In 1999, he was named the greatest North American athlete of the 20th century by ESPN. Some of his other accolades include - 6x NBA Champion & 6x NBA Finals MVP, 5x NBA Regular Season MVP, 14x All-Star & 3x NBA All-Star MVP, 1998 NBA Defensive Player of the Year, 9x NBA All-Defensive First Team, 10x NBA scoring champ, 3x NBA Steals Leader, 1984 ACC POTY and those are only an appetizer. On the front left tail is the Rawlings size “44” manufacturer’s label. Attached is a flag tag with "4 INCH EXTRA LENGTH”. Across the front is the team name (BULLS) in red on black screen print. Below on the left and on the back is the player number (23) in heavy red on black heat pressed vinyl lettering. Across the back is the player name (JORDAN) in heavy red heat pressed vinyl lettering. A tag has been removed from the back of the inside collar, presumably for the player's comfort. This style was only worn by Jordan during his rookie season. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent wear, with yellowing to the body from sweat.
