This size 12, base metal ring weighs 21 grams. It was presented to sportswriter Jack Lang when he served as official scorer for the 1988 MLB All-Star Game. Lang once served as president of the New York Chapter of the Baseball Writers' Association of America (BBWAA) and oversaw the voting process for the Baseball Hall of Fame from 1967 through 1994. The top panel reads “MAJOR LEAGUE ALL-STAR” surrounding a round-cut diamond atop a red synthetic stone. The right panel features the casted image of the 1988 MLB All-Star Game logo. The left panel features the casted image of the National League logo. The inside of the ring is stamped “©JOSTENS QGT” and engraved to read “Jack Lang Official Scorer”. The ring is in MINT condition.
