Larry Bird not only sparked a once dominant franchise from a prolonged slumber, he propelled an entire league to new heights. The "Hick from French Lick" single-handedly carried Indiana State to the 1979 NCAA National Championship Game against Magic Johnson's Michigan State squad and then went on to win the NBA Rookie of the Year Award in 1980. The very next season, "Larry Legend" won the first of his three NBA Championships with the Boston Celtics, the team he played his entire career for. Larry Bird is much more than a Hall-of-Famer, he is one of the greats to ever play the game. Offered here is the Boston Celtics home warmup jacket worn by Bird during the 1991-92 season. Bird's nameplate is sewn on the reverse of the Size 46 Champion jacket, which exhibits the "Basketball Centennial" patch on the right tail. Bird's black marker signature on the nameplate grades a 9. There is an NBA label to the left of the Champion label in the collar, which designates that the jacket is from 1991 and has a +3 body length. The jacket shows light wear and is accompanied by a signed LOA on Celtics letterhead. The autograph comes with a letter from PSA/DNA.
