HOFer, Barry Sanders was as talented a running back the game has ever known. Sanders made an immediate impact in the league, winning Offensive ORY honors in 1991, helping Detroit to their first and only postseason win since 1958. The list only goes on from there - 1994 OPOTY, 1997 NFL MVP / second OPOTY, 10x Pro-Bowl & All-Pro (each of his 10 playing seasons). On the front left tail is the Wilson manufacturer's tag with wash instruction. Attached are two small flag tags - “44” and “DY”. The Wilson manufactures code (DY) indicates that this jersey was produced prior to the '93 season which may open the possibilities that this jersey was worn prior to the 60th patch being applied. The wear on the jersey does not match the 1993 season. On the front, back, and both sleeves is the player number "20" screened in white on grey. Embroidered on the left breast is the Lions 60th anniversary patch. Across the back of the jersey is the player name "B. SANDERS", done in white tackle twill on a blue nameplate. Embroidered on the front collar is the NFL logo patch. The jersey has custom cut open sleeves that tucked under to Sanders specifications and was done team. There are multiple repairs throughout. This jersey was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent wear.
