The 1996 Olympics marked the second summer games in which professional athletes were allowed to represent their countries in competition. In the sport of basketball, that meant one thing: U.S. domination. In front of boisterous home crowds in Atlanta, Dream Team III, as this incarnation of NBA superstars came to be known, steamrolled the competition with an average margin of victory of 32.3 points per game. After trouncing Yugoslavia by a score of 95-69 in the gold medal game, the US Men’s Basketball team followed Dream Team II’s success at the 1994 World Championships by proclaiming U.S. supremacy on the courts once again. This Spalding Indoor/Outdoor NBA basketball has been signed by all 12 members of Dream Team III, with highlights including Shaquille O’Neal, Reggie Miller, and David Robinson, among others. The signatures have been done in black sharpie and rate between 7 and 9. Comes with a LOA from JSA.
