In 1972, Wayne Embry was named the GM of the Milwaukee Bucks, becoming the first African-American GM not only in the NBA, but in all professional sports. In 1986, Embry accepted the role of GM with the Cleveland Cavaliers and 11 seasons later he was named NBA Executive of the Year. The “Tiffany & Co.” manufactured crystal award stands roughly 7” tall and weighs 5 pounds. The trophy is etched to read “The Sporting News AWARDS - NBA Executive of the Year - 1997-98 - WAYNE EMBRY - Cleveland Cavaliers”. The trophy is in NRMT condition and is accompanied by a LOA from Wayne Embry.
