This lot comes to us directly from Warren Jabali. In his first season in the ABA, Warren Jabali won Rookie of the Year honors, prompting teammate Rick Barry to comment, "No doubt he's one of the best guards I've ever played with…or against". Later that season, Jabali averaged 33.2 points against the Indiana Pacers in the 1969 ABA Finals and was named Playoffs MVP. As one of the bigger guards in the ABA, Jabali muscled his way through seven straight seasons of double-digit scoring. His efforts helped bring an ABA Championship to the Oakland Oaks, a team that also featured Rick Barry and Larry Brown. This award was part of Warren Jabali’s collection. It stands 12” tall featuring a ¼” thick x 8” high piece of glass atop a heavy black base. The glass has a basketball etched on it. On the base is “AMERICAN BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION 30 MAN ALL-TIME TEAM WARREN JABALI” in gold lettering along with “AUGUST 22-23, 1997 INDIANAPOLIS, IN”. It is in overall NM condition. Accompanied by a LOA from Warren Jabali.
