At age 18, Kobe Bryant jumped from Lower Merion (Pennsylvania) High School to become the youngest player to ever start an NBA game. In 1977, the son of former NBA player Joe "Jellybean" Bryant, was the youngest player to play in an All-Star Game and a year later won a starting spot on the Lakers, compiling a 19.9 average. His 28 point effort in Game 4 of last year's NBA Finals will undoubtedly fuel comparisons between him and Michael Jordan. And he's still only 21! On the left front tail is the "NBA Authentics" label and next to this is the "Nike" label with the size "46." Adjacent is the "Los Angeles Lakers" label. Below the Nike label is the "Length +4" label. On the inside lower left is the wash tag and under this is the year tag "1998-99." Across the front of the jersey is the name "Lakers" and on the back is the name "Bryant." The letters are made of gold on white tackle twill. The player number "8" appears on both the front and back of the jersey in white on gold tackle twill. On the upper left front is the "NBA" patch. The jersey comes with an additional certificate of authenticity. It shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
