Future first ballot Hall of Famer Derek Jeter was drafted by the New York Yankees in the first round of the 1992 amateur draft. “The Captain” of the historic franchise spent his entire career with the Yankees. This bat has been photo-matched to multiple at bats including on June 29, 2002 when he launched career home run #110 off of Mets starter Al Leiter in the first inning. Manufacturer: Louisville Slugger Model Number: P72 Labeling Period: 2002 Length: 34 inches Weight: 31 ounces Wood: Ash Finish: Black. This bat is uncracked and shows evidence of outstanding use. Numerous ball marks and ball stitch impressions are visible on all sides of the barrel. Cleat marks can be seen on the right, left and back barrel. There is a heavy coat of grip stick on the handle from the knob extending up to the center brand. Jeter signed the front barrel in silver marker and in our opinion the signature rates a near 9. On the bottom of the bat is a Jeter hologram. Next to the center label is a MLB hologram serial number “MT00092656” authenticating the autograph. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA, a PSA/DNA LOA grading the bat a GU 10 and a Photo-Match.com LOA confirming the match.
