Mike Piazza was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2016. One of the best hitting catchers in MLB history, Piazza is a 12-time All-Star, a 10-time Silver Slugger Award winner and has a record 396 home runs at the position. On the inside front left tail is the Majestic manufacturer’s tag with two attached tags reading “52” and “Set E 2004”. Affixed to this tag is a Steiner hologram. On the left sleeve is a Mets team logo patch and above reads “BOB MURPHY” for former broadcaster Bob Murphy and below is a Majestic logo embroidered. On the right sleeve is a “SHEA STADIUM 40TH ANNIVERSARY” patch and below reads “Ya Gotta Believe Tug” for former player Tug McGraw. Across the chest reads “Mets” in script. Adjacent below and on the back is the player number “31” and across the back is the player name “PIAZZA”. All numbering and lettering is done in glacier on orange on black tackle twill. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by a Steiner COA.
