Before he began his future first-ballot Hall of Fame career, Derek Jeter had a favorite player growing up just like everyone else. Jeter looked up to Yankee slugger Dave Winfield after Winfield autographed a baseball for Jeter in the parking lot of Tiger Stadium in Detroit when he was 12 years old. Jeter continued to become a five-time World Series champion and a 14-time All-Star. On 4/19/2012, Jeter got his 3,110th career hit, tying him with his childhood idol. On the front left tail is a “Majestic” manufacturer’s tag with a size “48” flag tag and a year “2012” tag. On the “Majestic” tag is MLB hologram sticker “090420 EK” and Steiner Sports hologram sticker “197613”. Below is a “New York Yankees” barcode strip tag “0000001793”. On the left inseam is a “100% POLYESTER” size “48” tag with washing instructions. On the left chest is the team’s “NY” logo. On the back is the player number “2”. These are both done in navy blue tackle twill sewn directly onto the white pinstripe jersey. On the rear collar is an official “MLB” logo embroidered. On the player number “2” is a Steiner Sports hologram sticker. Jeter signed inside the back player number “2” in silver marker and in our opinion rates a 9 overall. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by a Steiner Sports LOA and card, and a full JSA LOA.
