Back-to-back Cy Young award winner Jacob deGrom wore this uniform during his MLB debut on May 15th, 2014. deGrom pitched 7 innings and allowed only 1 run against the rival New York Yankees in a 1-0 loss. The lack of run support for the superstar would become a theme in his career as he won only 10 games his first Cy Young season with a miniscule 1.70 ERA and 269 strikeouts in 2018 as the best pitcher in baseball. On the front left tail is the Majestic manufacturer’s tag size “46” with MLB hologram “EK702691”. Across the chest reads “Mets”. The player number “48” appears below and on the back and across the back is the player name “deGROM”. All numbering and lettering is done in blue on orange tackle twill. On the right sleeve is the “RALPH KINER 1922-2014” memorial patch. Also included are deGrom’s matching pants with MLB hologram “EK702692” and size “7 1-4” cap with MLB hologram “EK702693”. A truly historical artifact from one of baseball’s best pitchers. This uniform is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by a Photo-Match.com LOA and a Mets LOA.
