Vintage silver plated trophy measuring 11-1/2" tall, presented to NY Giants HOF first baseman George "Highpockets" Kelly in 1916. Along with teammates Frankie Frisch, Dave Bancroft and Heinie Groh, Kelly helped make up perhaps the greatest Giants infield of all time. Two ornate handles, mounted on a wood base, encrusted with a laurel leaf logo on the side that reads in relief "Presented To The Record Breaking Giants By Eddie Leonard, June 2, 1916," with "George L. Kelly" engraved beneath. Underneath the cup, which unscrews from the base, is stamped "Makers, Dieges & Clust." Eddie Leonard was a songwriter and entertainer extraordinaire during the vaudeville era and was known as "the last of the great minstrels". Impressive trophy shows very little tarnishing for its age and is in overall EXMT condition.
