Class of 1982 - As Executive Secretary of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Contributor Alva Duer was a pioneer in the integration of college basketball in the 1950s. He served in the NAIA, AAU, and on the U.S. Basketball Association Ethics Committee for over 25 years. A brilliant motivator, Everett Case compiled a 467-124 record in 21 years coaching four different high schools and won four state titles. He coached for 18 seasons at NC State, where his teams won six Southern Conference and four ACC crowns. He was named ACC Coach of the Year in 1954, 1955 and 1958. Slater Martin teamed with fellow Hall of Famers George Mikan, Vern Mikkelsen and Jim Pollard to bring NBA titles to the Minneapolis Lakers in 1950, 1952, 1953 and 1954. He joined fellow Hall of Famers Ed Macauley and Bob Pettit to win the 1958 NBA Championship with St. Louis. The 5'10" guard scored 7,337 points and recorded 3,160 assists in his 11-year NBA career. Class of 1983 - Contributor Lou Wilke coached basketball at the high school and amateur level, but really made his mark as an administrator. He served as Chair of the AAU Basketball Committee for seven terms, Chair of the Olympic Basketball Committee and on the U.S. Olympic Committee, on the FIBA Rules Committee, and as Vice-Chair of the Pan American Basketball Federation. All are Silver Relief Medallions. Duer is in excellent condition; slight scratch on tip of nose. Case is in very good condition; some wear on tip of nose. Martin is in NM condition. Wilke is in good condition; tip of nose slightly worn, small oxidation spots on background, forehead and on suit coat.
