Pete Rose, a switch hitter, is the all-time Major League leader in hits (4,256), games played (3,562), at-bats (14,053) and more. He won three World Series rings, three batting titles, one Most Valuable Player Award, two Gold Gloves, the Rookie of the Year Award and made 17 All-Star appearances at an unequaled five different positions (2B, LF, RF, 3B & 1B). In 1999, Rose was named to the Major League Baseball All-Century team. Inside the front tail of this home flannel, is the Rawlings manufacturer’s label with size “42”. Below is a tag with wash instructions and a flag tag attached reading “SET 1 #8P 1971”. The left breast is adorned with the “C REDS '' logo, which is stitched in white upon red tackle twill. Player number (14) is done in red tackle twill on the right breast as well as on the back. Player name (ROSE) is sewn across the back, in red tackle twill. Rose signed the back number in black marker, in our opinion rating a 9. Minor staining scattered on the front tail. Underarms are tinged red from his undershirt. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent wear. Accompanied by an SGC booklet of authenticity. Also accompanied by a full JSA LOA.
