Walt Bellamy had a stellar 14-year career in the NBA, and was named the NBA Rookie of the Year in 1962 after having arguably one of the greatest rookie seasons in NBA history. He ended his career with 20,941 points and 14,241 rebounds, and was elected to the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1993. He was Willis Reed’s predecessor. On the left front tail is the “MacGregor” manufacturer’s tag with size “48”. Adjacent is a white wash instructions tag. Across the front is “NEW YORK” done in white tackle twill. Player number “8” appears on both the front and back also in white tackle twill. Player name “BELLAMY” has been removed from the back. There is a two inch team repair on front to the left of the player number. The jersey shows good game-use and other than the name on back being removed appears to have no further alterations of any kind.
