Compilation of Phog Allen Photographs and Newspaper Clippings (113) (Estate LOA)

Included in this lot are photographs and newspaper clippings spanning the entirety of Phog Allen’s preeminent career as a coach, and even spanning back to his playing days. Highlights include a team photograph of the Allen Brothers Basketball team in Independence, MO; a photograph with Wilt Chamberlain (whom Allen recruited to Kansas); a picture with the gold medal US Men’s Olympic basketball team; and a picture of Dr. Allen in his doctor’s jacket in his office. Many personal family photographs with inscriptions, as well as an original invitation to Phog’s wedding are also included here. All pieces are in VG-NRMT overall condition.
