Before moving to St. Louis and later Atlanta, the Hawks played five seasons in Milwaukee. This is a Milwaukee Hawks jersey and shorts set worn during the late 1950s. Lewis Hitch was one of the stars of the team. On the inside back tail of this blue durene jersey is the "Ex Long" label and next to this is the size tag "42." Adjacent is the "King O'Shea" label. Across the front of the jersey is the team name "Hawks." The player number "12" appears on both the front and back of the jersey. The letters and numbers are made of blue on white tackle twill. Included with the jersey are shorts and a belt belonging to someone else. Inside the waistband is the "King O'Shea" label and adjacent is the size tag "36." Below this is the "Ex Long" label. Near this label is the "Milwaukee Sporting Goods" label and adjacent is a label with the number "6." The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
