Lot of personal baseball related items owned by Dick Howser, who managed the Royals to the 1985 World Championship but died of a brain tumor shortly thereafter. Included are two matted and framed (13" x 16") letters from 1961 on Kansas City A's letterhead, naming him team captain and informing him of his election to the A.L. All-Star team (EXMT-NRMT); a 1978 photo of Howser with Reggie Jackson (EX-EXMT); a 1979 Braves payroll check to Howser, endorsed by him on the back (EX with some edge wear, signature grades a 9) and an album with his junior high school basketball letters, newspaper clippings, programs, Christmas cards, letters and photos (average EX-EXMT). Accompanied by a LOA from James Spence Authentication.
