Jerry West led the University of West Virginia to three consecutive conference titles and the 1959 NCAA Finals, winning tournament MVP honors that season. A two-time All-America, he averaged 24.8 points and 13.3 rebounds per game in his college career. West won a Gold Medal on the 1960 USA Olympic Team. He had a 14-year NBA career with Los Angeles and was named to 14 All-Star Teams (Game MVP in 1972) and 10 All-NBA First Teams. He was instrumental in the Lakers' NBA record 33-game win streak in 1971-72, and led the team to the 1972 NBA Championships. West had previously won Finals MVP honors in the 1969 NBA Playoffs. He retired in 1973 having scored 25,182 career points. His career average of 27.0 points per game ranks fifth in NBA history, and his 1965 Playoff scoring average of 46.3 points per game is still an NBA record. In 1996, West was named one of the NBA's 50 greatest players. Silver Relief medallion. In excellent condition; slight scratch on background.
