John "Hog" Hannah played left guard for the New England Patriots from 1973-1985. Hannah was selected to nine Pro Bowls and was one of the few players to have been named to the NFL All-Decade Team twice, both in the 1970's and 1980's. He was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1991, and Sports Illustrated dubbed him, on its August. 3, 1981, cover, "The Best Offensive Lineman of All Time." On the front left tail of the jersey is the "Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the New England Patriots" tag. The "Sand-Knit" manufacturers tag has fallen off below (glue remains). On front back and both sleeves is the player number "78" in red on blue tackle twill. Across the back of the jersey is the player name "HANNAH" in red on blue tackle twill on a white name plate. This is an extremely rare one year style of this Hall of Fame player. The jersey show tremendous use with many team repairs and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
