Offered here is a pair of Converse game-used tri-color Magic-branded shoes from the late 1980s signed by NBA Hall of Famer Earvin “Magic” Johnson, who carried the Los Angeles Lakers to five NBA titles during that decade and won three NBA MVP awards and three NBA Finals MVP awards along the way. The yellow/purple/white colorway “Weapon Silhouette” sneakers show excellent wear throughout and include three different autographs and/or inscriptions from Magic used with different signing instruments. For example, Johnson signed the right shoe’s white outside panel “Earvin Magic Johnson Be Cool” in light blue marker, while the left shoe includes two different autographs from Johnson seemingly signed at two different times. On the white instep area near the top, Magic’s signature appears in faded pen, while on the opposite side of the same shoe, on a yellow heel panel, he signed “To Hard Rock Cafe Take Care Magic Johnson” in faded blue fine-point marker, in our opinion the autographs rate 5 and 3. With 10,141 career assists to his credit, the 6’ 9” Johnson is widely considered the best point guard in NBA history. No shoe size is indicated. These sneakers were presented to us as game-used and in our opinion, show excellent use. Accompanied by a full JSA LOA.
