In sixteen seasons, Jim Rice had a career batting average of .298. One of the best hitters of the late 70s and 80s, he was a eight time All-Star, and the 1978 AL MVP. On the front left tail of the jersey is the "Wilson" manufacturer's tag with wash instructions, and jersey size "44." Below that is a tag reading "82" indicating the year. Across the front of the jersey is "RED SOX." On the back of the jersey is the player number "14." All lettering and numbering is done in red on black tackle twill. On the back of the pants waistband is the "Wilson" manufacturer's tag with wash instructions, and pant size "34." Adjacent to that is a tag reading "14 26." On the other side of the "Wilson" tag is a year tag reading "85." The uniform shows game-use, and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
