Elected to the Hall of Fame in 1956, Joe Cronin was not only the premier American League (Senators, Red Sox) shortstop of his day, but also the League President for two years (the first player to ever achieve that milestone), as his signature on OAL baseballs of the period attests. A lifetime .301 hitter, Cronin hit over .300 eight times in his career, with eight 100-RBI seasons as well. At the age of 27, he was appointed manager of the Senators, leading them to their final pennant. Cronin also served 11 years in the Red Sox front office. Cronin has signed this clean OAL MacPhail baseball on the sweet spot. The bold, beautiful signature has been shellacked for protection - signature grades a 9. Comes with a letter from PSA/DNA.
