The 54 Red Sox signed Harry Agganis as a rookie first baseman and he was to be Boston's biggest prospect. He suddenly died in 1955 from leukemia and this ball is a very rare team signed ball on which his name can be found. This OAL Harridge has been signed in blue ink by 21 members of the 54 Red Sox team. The ball has aged to a beautiful cream color and shows almost no toning or fading. The signatures rate 9s and 10s and are some of the most readable signatures we've seen. The notables include Williams (sweet spot), Boudreau (sweet spot), Kell, Peirsall, Mele and Agganis. The autographs come with a letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA.
