Marred in controversy, the 1957 All-Star game saw the Cincinnati Reds fans stuff the ballot boxes to elect their entire team to the National League roster! Ford Frick, the Commissioner at the time, responded by moving All-Star voting to the managers, coaches and players the following year. The AL won the 9th inning nail-biter, 6-5. This is an ONL Giles baseball with light overall toning, signed by 26 All-Stars from the 1957 season. There is a small hole on the sweet spot, likely from the ball having been mounted. The ballpoint signatures grade an overall 7 with some showing light smudging. Several Hall of Famers are on this ball, highlights include Yogi Berra, Casey Stengel, Moose Skowron, Al Kaline, Early Wynn, George Kell, Minnie Minoso, Jim Bunning, Billy Loes and Vic Wertz. Comes with a letter from PSA/DNA.
