Hall of Fame umpire Al Barlick, a WWII veteran, had a reputation for being firm and tough. He passed away in 1995, having umpired a record seven All-Star Games. Fay Vincent, after running Columbia pictures for 10 years, became the Deputy Commissioner under Bart Giamatti, eventually replacing him upon Giamatti's death in 1989. This collection comprises four white "B.A.T." unused baseball caps, two signed by Barlick and two by Giamatti. These signatures grade an overall 8. There are also 12 baseballs: seven ONL White baseballs (five signed by Vincent, two by Barlick) and five OAL Brown baseballs signed by Vincent. The balls show light overall toning, with one showing some spotting. The signatures grade an overall 8-9 and come with a letter from PSA/DNA.
