Prior to leading the Miracle 69 Mets to their first World Series, Gil Hodges was an eight-time All-Star. A dead-pull hitter who always looked for the inside pitch, Hodges was a model of consistency, collecting over 100 RBIs for seven consecutive years (1949-55) and hitting 20 or more HR 11 straight seasons (1949-59). This ONL Feeney ball has faded slightly and shows some spots of light toning. The side panel has an inscription which reads to "Hymie Arnas Best Wishes Gil Hodges." The signature has been done in black ink and would otherwise be a 10 if not for slight fading which brings it down to a strong 8. The signature comes with a letter from PSA/DNA.
