Honus Wagner was an improbable star with his bow-legged stance and stocky, barrel chested appearance but as he would prove, looks can be deceiving. Beginning in 1897 he put up a string of 17 consecutive .300 or better seasons that won him eight batting titles and a place in the inaugural class of baseball's Hall of Fame. He has signed this ball on the side panel "J. Honus Wagner, Pirates 1937" in black turned brown ink that has faded over the years and now rates a 5. Another signature on the opposite panel can not be identified and is in no way visible when the Wagner is displayed forward. The ONL Frick baseball shows a light but even tone. The autographs come with a letter from PSA/DNA.
