Edward "Cocky" Collins' 3,311 hits place him eighth on the all-time list. This tremendous player hit .333 lifetime and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1939. He was one of Connie Mack's key players during a run of five pennants in six years (1909-1914). He batted over .340 in 10 of his 25 seasons. He led the American League in runs scored three times and stolen bases four times, and led all second basemen in fielding percentage nine times. With the White Sox Collins hit .409 in the 1917 World Series. He was one of the few honest players on the 1919 "Black Sox" that threw the World Series. We offer his 1927 Uniform Player's Contract with the Philadelphia Athletics, with an embossed Athletics corporate seal, signed in fountain by him, then AL President Ban Johnson and A's President Thomas Shibe. Collins passed away in 1951. The signature rates a 9 and comes with a letter from PSA/DNA.
