In the 1950s, the question most asked by baseball fans was "Who was the best centerfielder in New York: Mantle, Mays or 'The Duke of Flatbush,' Duke Snider?" As all three are currently in the Hall of Fame (Snider was inducted in 1980), the question may never be resolved. As the leading homerun hitter of the 1950s with 326, however, Snider outpaced both Mantle and Mays, also surpassing them in RBIs during the same period. Playing in six World Series' from 1949-1959, Snider holds the National League World Series records for homers (11) and RBIs (26), and is the only person to twice hit four HRs in a World Series. Upon retirement, the Dodgers retired his jersey number four. We offer his 1959 Uniform Player's Contract with the Dodgers, paying him $43,500, signed by him "Edwin D. Snider" and also by Dodgers GM "Buzzy" Bavasi. The signature rates a solid 9 and comes with a letter from PSA/DNA.
