The first black baseball player in the American League, Larry Doby was signed by the Indians in 1947. During his Hall of Fame career Doby played in six straight All-Star Games, and led the league during the 1954 Indians' 111 win season with 126 RBIs and 32 homers. He beat out both Joe DiMaggio and Duke Snider to win 1952's TSN Centerfielder of the Year award. This is Doby's 1949 Uniform Player's Contract with the Cleveland Indians, paying him $12,000. It has been signed by Doby "Lawrence Eugene Doby" and stamped by then AL Commissioner William Harridge. The signature rates a solid 9 and comes with a letter from PSA/DNA.
