Joe had this studio portrait done privately for his own personal use. However, a Bach Rach employee without permission from DiMaggio made six additional copies with the Bach Rach name and then sold them. DiMaggio had been asked on several occasions to sign one, something which he refused to do and he even destroyed one where he was asked to sign it. This piece was signed in 1988 in gold Sharpie, which rates a 9. It is to our knowledge the only signed copy in existence. The photograph is professionally matted and framed.
