Gil Hodges has a double claim to fame. He played for the Brooklyn/L.A. Dodgers in the late '40s and '50s, as part of "the Boys of Summer," and was the manager for the 1969 "Miracle Mets," leading them to their first world championship. This 8" x 10" black and white photo portrays Hodges during his time as an L.A. Dodger, winding up and preparing to swing. The photo is inscribed "To Dicky Best Wishes Gil Hodges" in black ball point pen. It is in good condition with a two inch tear on the right side that is hardly noticeable. Hodges' signature rates a near 10 and comes with a letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA.
