In 1974, Hank Aaron did the unthinkable; he smashed a ball off Dodger pitcher Al Downing to break the immortal Babe's home run record. In addition to holding the most cherished record by an everyday player, "Hammerin' Hank" set the all-time records for RBI with 2,297 and total bases with 6,856. Defensively, Aaron was a superb outfielder, winning three Gold Gloves. He was selected to play in 21 straight All-Star games and was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1982. This bat shows excellent use with ball, hit, black transfer, and blue and red rack marks covering most of the barrel. A light coat of pine tar has been applied to the handle and the player number "44" is written on the knob and barrel end in black marker and pencil, respectively. "Hammerin' Hank" signed his name and number "755" on the front barrel with black sharpie which rates an amazing 9. Manufacturer: Hillerich & Bradsby, Model Number: A99, Labeling Period: 1973-75, Length: 35 inches, Weight: 32-3/5 ounces, Wood: Ash, Finish: Standard. The bat comes with two letters from PSA/DNA.
