Glavine's old pitching coach Leo Mazzone once said, "Tom is a combination of class and street toughness with a never-give-in attitude. Tom is consistently excellent. That's his standard." Not only an accomplished pitcher and world champion, Glavine can also swing the stick, hitting .289 in 1996. This bat shows excellent use with ball, hit, blue transfer, and black and blue rack marks on most of the barrel. A light coat of pine tar has been applied to the handle, there is tape in a spiral pattern on the handle and the player number "47" is written on the knob and barrel end in marker. This is a great example of a Glavine gamer with "TG" stamped on the knob by "Mizuno", however no name on the barrel appears to be an error.
