3,141 hits all while wearing a San Diego Padres uniform, Tony Gwynn is a sure lock for the Hall of Fame. A .338 lifetime batting average, Gwynn is a class-act both on and off the field. This bat shows outstanding use with ball, hit, and black and blue transfer marks on the right barrel, typical characteristics of Gwynn's hitting zone. A moderate coat of pine tar has been applied to the handle and tape has been rapped around the knob end and lower handle in a spiral pattern. The handle has a piece missing 8" from the knob. The player number "19" is written on the knob end in silver marker. The future HOFer signed the front barrel in blue sharpie which rates a strong 8. Manufacturer: Hillerich & Bradsby, Model Number: B267, Labeling Period: 1995-96, Length: 32-3/4 inches, Weight: 28-1/2 ounces (piece missing), Wood: Ash, Finish: Flame Burned/Treated. The bat comes with two letters from PSA/DNA.
