In the early 20th century, many baseball players added to their often meager paychecks by "barnstorming" - playing with teams that usually moved around the country during the off season. The great Babe Ruth was no exception, and was suspended for the first six weeks of the 1922 season as barnstorming was prohibited to players who appeared in the World Series. This vintage cream colored Official League Ball was game used in a barnstorming game on Sunday, October 19, 1924. Showing heavy use, it has been signed on the sweet spot by Babe Ruth, who played in the game. The signature shows some fading but is clearly legible. On the side panel is what appears to be Bob Meusel's signature, very light, who was a teammate of Ruth's. The rest of the ball is covered with the names of players and the box score. Comes with a letter from PSA/DNA.
