Even in his last few seasons with the New York Yankees, Mickey Mantle's statistical numbers would still match today's major league leaders. In 1967-68 he was second in the league in walks, and is currently seventh on the all-time career list. In 1966 Mantle played his last year in the outfield, and never made an error. From 1967-68 he would play first base in 262 games and boasted a .991 fielding average. After winning seven World Series rings, Mantle ended his career on September 28, 1968 and would be enshrined in Cooperstown in 1974.
