This image of The Mick was snapped during the historic 1961 baseball season by Philip Sarno, whose body of work has been compared to Conlan and Burke. We were told by our consignor that this print is the only one ever made from the original negative and that it has never been seen publicly before. It is absolutely breathtaking in both size and clarity and is surely one of the finest images of Mantle to surface. It is museum quality framed to an overall size of 30" x 36" in suede matting.
