The New York Yankees were kings of the baseball world in the 1960s. In fact, much the same could be said about the Bronx Bombers in just about any other decade. This early 1962 photograph is of the powerful Yankee team that consisted of Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris, Yogi Berra, Elston Howard and a slew of other stars who helped packed the seats at Yankee Stadium. What makes this team picture unique is that a number of the players were unprepared for the photographer as he snapped them looking in various directions. The full-color photograph is very large, double-matted, framed 36" x 46" and is in near mint condition. It purportedly hung at the Stadium.
