Mel Stottlemyre was the anchor of the Yankee pitching staff during his time with them. He was a three-time 20-game winner, and had a career ERA under 3.00. On the front left tail of the jersey is the "SPALDING" manufacturer's tag. Attached is a tag reading "42" indicating jersey size. Below that stitched in navy blue is "69" indicating the year. Below that is a tag with wash instructions. Attached is a flag tag reading "SET 1 1969" indicating set, and year. On the left breast is the "Yankees" team logo patch. On the back of the jersey is the player number "30" done in navy blue velvet, that has been replaced by the team. Inside the back of the neck is a name tag reading "Stottlemyre." On the left sleeve is the MLB "100TH ANNIVERSARY" patch. The jersey shows game-use, and except for the number replacement appears to have no alterations of any kind.
