Manager Johnny Oates guided Columbus to first place. Led by the relatively unknown outfielder Don Mattingly, the Clippers captured the Triple-A title. This MPB3 Official League ball has been signed by 22 members of the 83 Columbus Clippers. The ball is in excellent condition and is bright sparkling white. The signatures have been done in blue ball point ink. "1983 Columbus" has been written in blue marker on the trademark. The signatures are all 8s and 9s with notables Oates (manager on sweet spot), Dayett, Nixon, Winters, Gulden and Don Mattingly.
