The Spartanburg Airport opened in September of 1927, and holds a place in history as the first airport in South Carolina. One month after its opening, the airport continued to make history as Charles Lindbergh, fresh off his cross-Atlantic flight stopped in Spartanburg on his tour of all 48 states. Offered here is a program from October 12, 1927 with the title "Welcome Lindy!". The cover of the program is signed in black pen "C.A. Lindbergh." The program is in VG condition with some browning from age, some binding separation, and the back cover has glued on black paper remnants. The signature rates an 8, and comes with a letter from PSA/DNA.
