$20 gold coins were minted by The United States Government from 1850 to 1907. They are known as "double eagles," as $10 coins were called "eagles." Designed by James Barton Longacre, this reeded edge Liberty Head Coronet weighs approximately 33.4 grams and contains 90% gold. Showing some wear, it grades a Very Fine.
