This is a rare 1936 British Royal Navy gunner sight, 10x, made by W.T.A. It is all black metal with adjustable filters and focus, with internal crosshairs. These were primarily used by battleship gunners during WWII, and on the famous "dreadnoughts" that became obsolete by war's end. It comes in the original mahogany dovetailed wood box, green gelt cushions, extra eye cushion and allen wrench for adjustments. The sight is 14" long, the box is 18" x 7" x 7" and weighs over 20 lbs, with serial number stenciled on top.
