Great grouping of vintage U.S. Navy submarine lighters from WWII to the Vietnam War era. First is a 1960 Konwal lighter from the USS Remora, SS-487 (1945-1973, patrolled during the Korean War), with ship's crest on front and etched drawing on back. Next is a 1960 Vulcan lighter from the diesel sub USS Thornback, SS-418 (1944-1971, served with Admiral Halsey). Next is a Vulcan lighter from the USS Scamp, SSN-558 (unused, with the rare battle "E" award emblem engraved). Next is a Konwal lighter from the USS Queenfish, SS-393 (1943-1963, sank many ships in WWII). Finally there is a 1969 Konwal lighter from the USS Grayback, LPSS-574 (1953-1986, carried the Navy Seals), gorgeous whale emblem on front. The lighters show light overall wear with the exception of the Thornback, which shows heavy use.
